Frequently Asked Questions

FOR AUTHORS

1. How do I submit a manuscript to an IAES journal?
Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Each journal under IAES provides a clear “Make a Submission” link on its website. Authors must register or log in before uploading their manuscript.

2. Are there author guidelines or templates available?
Yes. Each journal has detailed author guidelines and downloadable templates available on the “Author Guidelines” page. Please ensure your manuscript follows these instructions before submission.

3. What is the Article Processing Charge (APC)?
IAES journals are open-access and apply an Author Fee, also known as APC (Article Processing Charge), for accepted papers to cover editorial and production costs. The exact fee is stated on each journal’s website.

4. How long does the review and publication process take?
The peer-review process typically takes 6–12 weeks, depending on the responsiveness of reviewers and editorial decisions. After acceptance, papers are usually published online within 2–4 weeks.

5. Is my article indexed after publication?
IAES journals are indexed in several international databases, including Scopus, DOAJ, Google Scholar, and others (depending on the specific journal). Indexing information is available on each journal’s “Indexing & Abstracting” page.

6. Can I submit my article to more than one journal?
No. Simultaneous submission to more than one journal is considered unethical and is not allowed. IAES follows COPE’s best practices and expects authors to adhere to high ethical standards.

7. Are there waivers for APCs?
IAES may offer partial waivers for authors from low-income countries or those facing financial hardship, subject to editorial approval. Please contact the editor before submission if you wish to apply.

FOR REVIEWERS

8. How can I become a reviewer for IAES journals?
Prospective reviewers can apply through the journal’s website. Generally, reviewers should have a PhD or equivalent research experience and relevant publications in the field.

9. What is the peer review model used by IAES?
IAES journals use a double-blind peer review model, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout the review process.

10. Will I receive recognition for reviewing?
Yes. Reviewers may receive a formal review certificate and are acknowledged annually for their contribution. IAES may also support integration with Publons/ReviewerCredits.

FOR READERS

11. Are IAES journals open access?
Yes. All IAES journals are fully open access, meaning all published articles are freely available without subscription fees.

12. How can I cite articles from IAES journals?
Each article includes recommended citation format in APA, IEEE, or other relevant styles. Citation export formats (BibTeX, EndNote, etc.) are also available on the article’s page.

ETHICS & POLICIES

13. What ethical standards does IAES follow?
IAES follows the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines, as well as the ICMJE and WAME principles. Issues like plagiarism, data falsification, and duplicate submission are handled strictly.

14. How does IAES handle plagiarism?
All submitted manuscripts are screened using plagiarism detection tools (e.g., Turnitin, iThenticate). Manuscripts with a high similarity index will be rejected or returned for revision.

15. What happens if there’s a post-publication issue?
If concerns arise after publication (e.g., errors, ethical violations), IAES follows COPE’s guidelines for corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern as appropriate.
