As part of IAES’ ongoing commitment to supporting research integrity, we are implementing an update to our policy regarding author identification. The use of unique digital identifiers has become the gold standard in the global academic publishing ecosystem. By integrating ORCID iD into the publication process, we aim to provide long-term benefits for academic records, including:
- Avoiding Identity Ambiguity: Ensuring that works are not mistakenly attributed to other researchers with similar names, or when there are changes in the formatting of names and affiliations.
- Accurate Work Attribution: Ensuring that every published article is automatically and validly linked to the author’s academic record profile.
In line with this commitment, effective immediately, all authors (both the Lead Author and all Co-authors) are required to register for and obtain an ORCID iD before a manuscript can proceed to the publication stage. ORCID iD registration is completely free and takes only a few minutes. For authors who do not yet have an ORCID iD, we ask that you register immediately via the official link: https://orcid.org/register before the manuscript production process begins.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To maintain standards for the completeness of publication metadata, manuscripts cannot be processed further toward publication until we receive valid ORCID iD information from all authors involved in the manuscript.
We urge the Corresponding Author to proactively coordinate with all members of the research team to ensure these requirements are met without delaying the publication schedule.
