Departure Program 2025
The Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho/MEXT) offers a scholarship program specifically designed for teachers to enhance the quality of teaching in their respective fields.
Scholarship recipients will study at universities in Japan and will receive training in teaching methods, the creation of effective lesson plans, and other aspects that can enhance the quality and capabilities of teachers.
Study period: 1 year 6 months (including the first 6 months of learning Japanese).
Period: September/October 2025 to March 2027.

Facilities
- Tuition fees are fully covered until the program is completed.
- Living allowance of approximately ¥143,000/month.
- Round-trip plane ticket Indonesia – Japan.
- Free student visa application fee.
- There is no service bond.
Requirements
- Maximum age of 34 years on April 1, 2025 (born on or after April 2, 1990).
- Graduates with at least a D4 or S1 degree.
- Teachers (civil servants, private, honorary) who are actively teaching in formal educational institutions, such as elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and equivalent institutions (vocational schools, madrasahs, etc.), as well as special schools.
- The applicant has a minimum of 5 years and 0 months of teaching experience as of October 1, 2025, in formal educational institutions (cumulative).
- Physical and mental health (physical and mental health conditions will not interfere with the course of studies while in Japan)
- Mastering English or Japanese. For those who do not yet speak Japanese, be willing to learn Japanese.
- The applicant must immediately return to Indonesia and continue their career as a teacher after the scholarship program ends. If both of these conditions are not met, the applicant is OBLIGED to return all the scholarship benefits that have been received.

Registration Procedure
- Only applicants who meet the requirements are allowed to apply.
- Applicants register online through the following link:

Errors in filling out the online registration are the sole responsibility of the applicant. - The confirmation email will be sent to the registered email after completing the online registration. Check your inbox/spam/all email folders. Print the email in portrait format (A4 size) and keep the “Exam Number” you received. If you do not receive a confirmation email within 5 minutes, please contact us at beasiswa@dj.mofa.go.jp, attaching your full name, chosen program, and a softcopy scan of your diploma.
- Complete the required documents. The list of documents can be found in the REQUIRED DOCUMENTS section.
- All documents that have been completed and arranged in order should be placed into one envelope (minimum size that can hold all A4-sized documents, type free). Write the code “Teacher Training 2025” on the top right corner of the envelope.
- The file is sent or submitted directly to:
- Please be reminded that we WILL NOT confirm the receipt of documents. For those sending via online motorcycle courier, please hand it directly to the security at the Japanese Embassy.
- We DO NOT accept inquiries regarding the confirmation of file receipt. Use the shipping receipt for tracking.
- Only applicants with complete documents and accepted before the deadline will be processed.
- The documents must arrive at the Japanese Embassy in Jakarta no later than January 22, 2025.
- Documents can still be accepted outside the working hours of the Japanese Embassy (including Saturdays and Sundays).
- Documents that have been sent to the Japanese Embassy cannot be returned for any reason.
- The negligence of participants in reading and understanding this registration information is entirely the responsibility of the participants.
