KCWC Faculty Wins Best Paper Award at EECSI 2014 Conference

The HCT-Khalifa City Women’s College (KCWC) faculty member Dr. Mu’awya Al Dalaien was awarded the Best Paper prize at the International Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Informatics Conference 2014 (EECSI), held on August 20 and 21, at Yogyakarta in Indonesia.

The conference was convened by the Institute of Advanced Engineering and Science (IAES).

Dr Al Dalaien’s paper, entitled ‘Vulnerability Analysis of a Mutual Authentication Protocol Conforming to EPC Class-1 Generation-2 Standard,’ was one of 110 papers submitted for scrutiny by a committee of thirty six well known international researchers.

Upon presenting the paper at the conference, Dr Al Dalaien was awarded the Best Paper prize based on the quality of the research carried out, and for his two new innovative solutions to vulnerabilities in well-known security protocol. He was also asked to submit an extended paper to be published in a highly indexed technical journal.
